Study TitleIntestinal lipid oxidation after VSG
Study SummaryPostprandial lipids are lower after vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) surgery and this efect is independent of lipid absorption and chylomicron production. This poses a question of where the lipids are going. In order to test the hypothesis that intestinal oxidation of lipids is increased, Sham or VSG animals were gavaged with glycerol trioleate or water and sacrificed 2h later.
