In the metastasis process, clustered cancer cells (cell clusters) exhibited a higher ability of invasion and metastasis. On the other hand, metabolic reprogramming is closely related to the process of cancer metastasis. To explore the metabolic heterogeneity between single cells and cell clusters, mass spectrometry-based untargeted metabolomic analysis was performed on single cells and cell clusters constructed from two TNBC cell lines (MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-453).
