ST:STUDY_SUMMARY ferroptosis-related diseases. To test, we firstly performed a metabolomics
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY analysis of HT1080 cells that were cultured in medium lacking cystine or lacking
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY both cystine and methionine. The metabolomics results containing full profile of
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY the metabolites was subjected to cluster assay, and the triplicates of each
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY group were automatically clustered together, indicating better homogeneity of
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY the data in each condition. Then, we filtrated the metabolomics data with the
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY threshold fold change (FC) ≥2 and P≤ 0.05.Only the RP Pos method results are
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY used/reported in this study. The results showed that the cellular cysteine and
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY GSH levels were expectedly depressed upon cystine limitation; meanwhile, once
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY methionine was restricted, cellular SAM level was significantly reduced. This
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY highlights the decisive regulatory role of methionine on the metabolite levels
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY of SAM.
