ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	address the dysfunctional adipocyte phenotypes in obesity. We find that chronic
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	treatment with the PPAR? agonist (rosiglitazone, 1 uM for 7days in vitro) in
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	white human adipose tissue induced metabolic changes. Our trancriptome analysis
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	showed that higher mitochondrial and peroxisomal fatty acid oxidation pathways
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	and other genes involved in lipid metabolism including (re)esterification are
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	induced by rosiglitazone treatment. To understand the biochemical basis of brite
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	vs. white human adipocytes, we will perform comprehensive metabolomic profiling
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	of control and rosiglitazone treated tissues using unbiased lipidomics approach.
