ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	saturated FFA is associated with insulin resistance, determination of the FFA
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	profile in these species aid in understanding the underlying mechanism.
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	Additionally, because of the non-monotonic nature of responses to BPA exposure
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	dose response studies are also needed. This study will therefore assess plasma
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	lipid profile in sheep exposed to three different doses of BPA prenatally and

ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	Metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes are currently widespread with
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	epidemic proportions. Recent studies have implicated that these disorders have
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	developmental basis due to maternal exposure to adverse insults including
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	endocrine disruptors such as Bisphenol A (BPA). As BPA is present in maternal
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	serum, amniotic fluid, cord blood taken at birth, placenta, colostrum and breast
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	milk suggests that BPA has developmental impacts. In fact developmental BPA
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	exposure have been linked to intrauterine growth restriction and low birth
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	weight offspring, risk factors for adult cardiometabolic abnormalities. Animal
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	models are helpful to study the effect of developmental BPA exposure and
ST:STUDY_COMMENTS                	determine associated mechanisms.
