In order to dissociate small molecules bound to or trapped in SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY proteins, lysate was precipitated with methanol under vigorous shaking for 2 min SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY (Glen Mills GenoGrinder 2000) followed by centrifugation.
