ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a severe neuromuscular wasting disease that is
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	caused by a primary defect in dystrophin protein and involves organism-wide
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	comorbidities such as cardiomyopathy, metabolic and mitochondrial dysfunction,
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	and non-progressive cognitive impairments. Physiological stress exposure in the
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	mdx mouse model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy results in phenotypic
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	abnormalities that include locomotor inactivity, hypotension, and increased
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	morbidity. Severe and lethal stress susceptibility in mdx mice corresponds to
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	metabolic dysfunction in several coordinated metabolic pathways within
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	dystrophin-deficient skeletal muscle, as well as prolonged elevation in mdx
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	plasma corticosterone levels that extends beyond the WT stress response. Here we
