Sampleprep Summary:Cell pellets were disrupted for metabolite extraction by resuspension in sterile water, lyophilization, and grinding by vortexing with a sterilized steel ball. Disrupted pellets were resuspended in 50 mL sterile water, filtered, and frozen in the same manner as spent medium. Spent medium and cell pellet samples were extracted by solid phase extraction using Agilent Bond Elut PPL columns.
