Project Title:Metabolomic changes of chronic stressed rats in response to albiflorin treatment
Project Summary:Depression is a complex and multifactorial disorder with various co-morbid symptoms. Current pharmacotherapies are limited by slow onset, low efficacy, and distressing side effects. Natural products are a robust source of new drugs. To understand the mechanisms of action of albiflorin, we examined the changes in global patterns of metabolism in the hippocampus and plasma of chronic stressed rats after albiflorin treatment using metabolomics
