Project Title: | Luminal metabolome profiles of mice developed dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) colitis |
Project Summary: | Intestinal inflammation alters the composition of the gut microbiota thereby changing luminal metabolite profile. To examine the changes in the luminal metabolites during intestinal inflammation, specific pathogen-free mice were given dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) to induce colitis. Cecal contents from DSS-induced colitis mice and control mice were harvested and metabolite profiles of them were analyzed. |
