Project Title:Deep lipidomic profiling reveals sex dimorphism of lipid metabolism in fibro-calcific aortic valve disease
Project Summary:In-depth lipidomics profiling was performed on human tricuspid and bicuspid aortic valve tissue at different pathological stages, including mildly diseased, fibrotic and calcific tissue sections. Untargeted and targeted analysis were employed to enable high identification coverage and accurate quantification of lipids. Chromatographic separation modes (C18 RPC, C30 RPC) was combined with MS analysis using various acquisition modes (full MS, DDA, SRM) to allow for the identification of 1084 lipid molecular species across 28 lipid subclasses, of which 480 lipids were semi-absolutely quantified.
