Collection:
Collection ID: | CO000492 |
Collection Summary: | Fasting blood samples (5 ml) were collected from participants at baseline and the end of the 12 week intervention into vacutainers with EDTA |
Sample Type: | Blood |
Treatment:
Treatment ID: | TR000512 |
Treatment Summary: | N/A |
Sample Preparation:
Sampleprep ID: | SP000505 |
Sampleprep Summary: | The erythrocytes were separated from the plasma by centrifugation and frozen at -80ºC and were were prepared by hemolyzing the cells two times in deionized distilled water followed by centrifugation at 4000 RPM for 10 minutes at 4ºC. The erythrocyte aliquots were stored at −80 ºC until further analysis. The lipid extracts were prepared using a procedure by Rose and Oklander (Rose and Oklander 1965). |
