Study Title | Assessing metabolic changes to maternal rat liver tissue during and post-pregnancy (part II) |
Study Summary | Assessing metabolic changes to maternal rat liver tissue during and post-pregnancy. Liver tissue was harvested post-mortem from rats or mice without pregnancy (Nulliparous - NP), time course during pregnancy in days (P2-4, P11-13m P18-20), lactation day 10 (LD10), in during involution of the liver (I2, I4, I6, I8, I10) and 4-weeks regression after preganancy (R4). |

Collection:
Collection ID: | CO000526 |
Collection Summary: | tissue was harvested, flash frozen in LiN2, milled with LiN2, and weighed on dry ice for metabolomics analysis |
Sample Type: | Liver |
Treatment:
Treatment ID: | TR000546 |
Treatment Summary: | Tissues were harvested at the appropriate time point during or post-pregnancy |
Sample Preparation:
Sampleprep ID: | SP000539 |
Sampleprep Summary: | Frozen and milled liver tissue was suspended to 10 mg/ml in an extraction solution containing methanol/acetonitrile/water at a ratio of 5:3:2 (v/v/v). Suspensions were vortexed at 4C for 30 minutes and centrifuged at 10,000 g for 10 minutes, 4C. Supernatants were isolated and analyzed by LC-MS. |
