Concentrations of amino acids and metabolites were determined using MassTrak Amino Acid Solution (Waters) modified for mass spectrometry as previously described (32). Muscle samples were spiked with internal standards for amino acids and metabolites, deproteinated using cold methanol, and centrifuged. |
